The Carver C40 Command Bridge is a 39-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was produced by Wisconsin’s renowned yacht-building brand Carver Yachts between the years of 2014 and 2020. A superbly modern and sporty style with knife-insert hull glazing, a swept-back profile and plenty of aerodynamic angles gives this vessel an assertive and contemporary look from profile. Elegant interiors straddle the divide between clean minimalism and decadent comfort, while swift engines and a precision-engineered modified-V hull crafted from solid fiberglass deliver pulsating at-sea performance.
This is a yacht designed to be controlled from the entirely open-air bridge, and the helm up here boasts goodies like Teleflex SeaStar hydraulic steering, a Xenta joystick, Bennett trim-tab switches, digital throttles, hand-held VHF, a high-speed mounted compass and room for a pair of MFD touch-screens. Along with a pair of piloting seats you will also discover a stylish L-shaped sofa with backrests and an aft-sunpad lined in sophisticated Ultraleather. Heading down onto the main-deck you will enjoy sunbathing on a foredeck sunpad, while side-decks lead back to a sheltered aft-deck with expansive transom seating, a drinks cooler and room for a dining table. A transom gate leads down to a full-beam fixed bathing platform with a swim ladder and a sports lazarette, ideal for warm-water swimming adventures.
Sliding glass doors lead into a contemporary-styled main-deck salon with half-moon windows, wrap-around windscreen glazing and futuristic strip lighting embedded in the ceiling. There are brushed fiberglass surrounds, champagne-toned vinyl surfaces, cream-toned upholstery, a grey timber sole and durable carpeting in here, along with a U-shaped sofa that hugs a bespoke dining table. Across from this there is a port-side love-seat and an open galley with marble-effect work surfaces, a multi-zone hob, a stainless-steel sink, under-counter chilled storage and a combination oven. You can also reconfigure this main-deck space by exchanging a portion of the dining sofa for an additional lower helm station should you plan to traverse colder climes.
Two staterooms on the lower-deck benefit from climate-control, plenty of room to breathe, spot lighting, upholstered wall panels and panoramic hull glazing with opening portholes. A twin room to starboard can also be used as a lower-lounge and comes with its own en-suite facilities, while a master stateroom sits by the bow. This elegant cabin features a queen-sized island bed, a chunky skylight, two full-height lockers and an en-suite bathroom lined in Italian tiles with marble counters, a molded sink and a waterfall shower cubicle.
Top of the range engines come in the form of two 380HP Cummins Mercruiser QSB6.7 diesel shaft-drives for top speeds of around 30 knots and a 25-knot cruising pace. At this lower speed you will enjoy a range of up to 269 nautical miles, while at a sedate 8 knots this range expands to a horizon-busting 588 nautical miles. A fiberglass hull with a category B certification and a sturdy plumb bow has been designed for coastal cruising, a dry ride, plenty of stability and best-in-class fuel efficiency.
