The Carver 54 Voyager is a 56-foot luxury flybridge motor yacht produced by the iconic Wisconsin-based yacht-building company Carver Yachts between 2012 and 2017. Though this Euro-styled yacht looks as sleek and as modern as any sports cruiser to be found on the Med, it’s actually designed around long-range exploration, with a solid fiberglass hull and a vast 800-gallon fuel tank. Plenty of geometric lines and tinted windows present an angular, minimalist feel, while living spaces have that clean and contemporary look, with plenty of room to relax and soak up the rays.
A hard-top floats elegantly above the teak-lined flybridge, where a trio of modular sofas in stark white leather offer an Ibiza beach-side vibe. There’s also a dining table and a wet-bar with chilled Nova Kool storage up here, along with an adjustable piloting chair facing the port-side helm. Located underneath an opening glazed sunroof, the dashboard boasts hydraulic Side Power bow and stern thruster controls, Teleflex power-assisted steering, a pair of Raymarine touch-screen devices, a Ritchie mounted compass, a docking joystick, CCTV feedback and trim-tab switches, along with the controls for the yacht’s Sony stereo system.
Out on the main-deck there are a pair of modular sunpads ideal for working on your summer tan, while the aft-deck offers a more shaded retreat. Back here there is a transom sofa with room for a table and a transom gate leading out to a hydraulic bathing platform with tender storage ability and an extending swim ladder.
Tinted sliding glass doors open up to reveal a spacious main-deck salon boasting unique Zatara oakwood floors, brushed fiberglass surrounds, white leather furnishings and picture-frame side windows. Two sprawling sofas and an adjustable, timber-lined table will be found in here, while further forward there is a walk-in galley with granite work surfaces, under-counter Vitrifrigo fridge-freezer units, a Cuisinart combination oven, a 3-zone Princess hob and a stainless-steel sink. Ahead of this there is your choice of either a forward dinette lounge or a second helm station for all-weather piloting.
Winding steps with an atrium-style opening lead down to a generously-sized lower-deck with three cabins and two heads for an overnight capacity of 6. A bunk berth for the kids sits to port, while a VIP stateroom with a queen bed, a skylight, an extra wide locker and a plush en-suite sits towards the bow. A full-beam master stateroom is located amidship, and features a king-sized bed with bedside cabinets, a timber-lined closet, a work desk and a semi-open bathroom with a large wet-room shower.
There are a range of engine options available to power this watercraft, including twin 460HP Caterpillar C7 Acert diesels as standard or an upgraded pair of 575HP Volvo Penta D9 EVC shaft-drives. You can expect top speeds in the mid-20 knot range, while at a sedate 15 knot cruising pace you will be able to ride this exceptional yacht all week long thanks to an efficient hull and an 800-gallon fuel tank.
