The Benetti Tradition 100 is a 100-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was produced by the legendary Italian yacht-building company Benetti between the years of 2003 and 2009. With four decks of lavish living space and an elegant Italian style this is the sort of vessel that could easily claim to be a floating, five-star hotel. Yet this is also a rugged piece of nautical engineering, built for long-haul, blue-water expeditions. A classic styling to the exterior is the work of naval designers Zuretti and Righini, and boasts plenty of curves, structural flairs, picture-frame glazing and a set of open-air sun terraces to aft, giving this yacht an imperious presence in any marina.
Held up by steel architectural supports and with minimal railing to the rear and sides, the heady, split-level flybridge on this model seems to float as if on thin air. There’s space to aft for a casbah-style, full-beam sunpad where up to five guests can soak up the rays, in the center there is an outdoor upper helm, while towards the front you can fit in a sofa and another sunpad. One level down and there is yet more outdoor space, including room to aft for tender storage with a hydraulic davit. A wraparound sofa, an al-fresco dining table, a set of armchairs, bespoke tables and a curving, walk-in wet bar topped with deluxe marble are also on offer out here, while sliding glass doors on this upper-level lead into the wheelhouse. Clad in darker, sedate timber, this climate-controlled bridge allows captains to focus on navigation, with everything from thruster controls, digital display screens, power-assisted steering, a map-desk and a leather-lined piloting chair on hand.
Head down to the main deck and you will discover a secluded sunpad out on the foredeck ideal for private sunbathing., while a sheltered aft-cockpit lined in teak impresses with a transom sofa, a dining table and port-side steps down to a full-beam bathing platform. Also at this water-level to stern is a transom garage capable of hosting the market’s largest jet-tenders. The main deck salon, meanwhile, presents a traditionally Italian blend of dark exotic woods, brown marbled surfaces, refined carpeting, spot lighting, elegant chandeliers, cinema screen glazing and veneered accents. There is room in here for a three-piece sofa suite, a coffee table, a cognac bar and a formal dining table, while enclosed behind a bulkhead is a full galley and service area. At the front of the main deck there is a quiet owner’s stateroom with full-beam dimensions, a forward sofa, a king-sized bed, a walk-in closet and a lavish bathroom with pale timber accents, granite surfaces, a whirlpool bath, two sink stations and an enclosed shower with mosaic tiles and a teak lattice sole.
Lower deck layouts are subject to customization, but typically include space for three en-suite staterooms, including one full-beam owner’s suite placed aft of the engines for extra seclusion. Towards the front of the lower deck there is a crew quarters for up to six members of staff with its own facilities and dinette lounge.
Powered by a pair of 1350HP MTU 12V 2000 M90 diesel inboard engines, the Benetti Tradition 100 can achieve top speeds of up to 17 knots. At a cruising speed of approximately 13.5 knots, you will enjoy a horizon-busting range of around 2100 nautical miles, making this yacht a great option for the genuinely adventurous.
