The Benetti Mediterraneo 116 is a 116-foot luxury motor yacht with a flybridge that was produced by iconic Italian yacht-building company Benetti between 2018 and 2021. Stylish to a fault, this vessel bears an aggressive profile with sharp curves, bold lines, flared accents and a contemporary twist. A collaboration between the in-house Benetti team, naval stylist Giorgio Cassetta and hull designer Pierluigi Ausonio, this yacht has been crafted to look great, perform well on the open ocean and keep guests in the lap of utter luxury.
One of the longest flybridges in its class impresses with a pale teak deck and a floating hard-top with a sunroof providing much need shade over those gathered at a central outdoor dining table or mixing drinks at the marble-topped wet-bar with grill and ice-chipper. Up front you will soak up the rays at a pair of contemporary daybeds, while at the rear there is room for a set of sun-loungers. There is a further sun-kissed lounge out on the foredeck one level down, with room for a forward sofa, two sunpads and an oversized jacuzzi spa-pool with marina-facing views. To the rear of this level there is a shaded space for outdoor family meals, while a climate-controlled, enclosed upper-lounge will host digestifs at its cognac bar or on a pair of curved, half-moon sofas in decadent cream upholstery. Ahead of this is a captain’s quarters and a private wheelhouse with commanding views and all of the latest navigational technology.
A compact aft-cockpit with a bar and a transom sofa sits on the main deck, while side steps lead down to a bathing platform with a tender garage that opens up to create a water-level beach-club with enough room inside to store a Williams jet-tender and a jet-ski. Curved sliding glass doors with steel frames usher guests into a sedate salon with wide screen windows, a serpentine curved sofa, armchairs and a formal dining table lined in glossy timber. You can expect plush carpeting, a golden teak sole, grey oak walls, lacquered accents, plenty of veined white marble, multi-toned leather surfaces and elegant mood lighting in here, with masses of rounded cabinetry on hand. Ahead of this there is an enclosed galley fully equipped with all the amenities required for long-distance cruising, while at the front of the main deck there is a full-beam owner’s stateroom. This palatial suite features a king-sized bed, a private office, a walk-in closet, a side sofa and a pair of bathrooms lined in black Marquina marble that are connected by a wet-room shower.
A curving staircase leads down to a lower deck with two more en-suite double staterooms and a pair of en-suite twin cabins, with sleeping quarters on this level enjoying good head clearance, deluxe furnishings, timber-lined closets and bathrooms where you can really pamper yourself. An entirely private crew quarters for up to six sits by the bow and comes with its own galley and dinette facilities.
Powered by dual 1600HP Caterpillar ACERT C32 diesel engines, you can expect a top speed of up to 15 knots, with consistent and efficient cruising of around 10 knots. At this lower pace globe-trotting voyagers will enjoy a bluewater range of approximately 3,000 nautical miles.
