The Benetti Diamond 44M is a 144-foot luxury superyacht that was launched by the iconic Italian yacht-building firm Benetti in 2020. Designed by renowned naval stylist Giorgio Cassetta, this jewel of a yacht boasts an assertive profile with sleek, sharp lines that slope forward, making for an imperious and imposing presence out on the water. Living spaces, however, straddle the divide between contemporary and classical, with an understated European flair perfect for sophisticated life out at sea.
Outdoor spaces on this yacht are a symphony of teak, steel and glass, and nowhere is this more evident than on the flybridge, a towering al-fresco space with a floating hard-top overhead. Head to the rear of this deck to enjoy sun-kissed lounging at a set of modular sofas that can be transformed into sunpads, or absorb the rays up front at a plush pair of daybeds. Across the shaded center of the bridge there is a walk-in wet bar galley with a grill and an ice-chipper, along with an outdoor dining table for up to twelve.
The upper deck is no less impressive, boasting a circular dining table with bespoke seating and bar facilities to aft, and a sprawling foredeck lounge with a conversation sofa, two daybeds and a large jacuzzi pool lined in teak. There is also an enclosed upper lounge on this level with commanding views, as well as a captain’s quarters and a secluded wheelhouse with a next-generation helm.
A sheltered aft-cockpit with a transom sofa is joined by a water-level beach-club to stern comprised of a full-beam bathing platform and a hidden space behind a glazed transom door that can be used as a bar or a gym. Instead of the usual transom garage there is a capacious side entry tender garage that can accommodate a large jet-tender and a pair of water-toys. Main deck interiors impress with plenty of brushed carbon-fiber and burnished brass contrasting against pale oak surfaces, dark wood accents and masses of Silk Georgette marble and leather paneling throughout for an effortlessly sedate feel. Curved sliding glass doors welcome guests into a lavish relaxation area with custom-made sofas, side seating, ottomans and coffee tables, while a bulkhead hides a vast galley and service area. At the front of the deck there is a full-beam owner’s stateroom with a private office, a large walk-in dressing room, extra seating, a king-sized bed and a bathroom lined in grey oak and polished black granite with a wet-room shower behind frosted glass doors.
Four more en-suite staterooms are to be found on the lower deck, with rooms benefiting from plush surrounds, wide hull glazing, generous proportions and timber-lined closets. A separate crew quarters with a private galley and dinette lounge sits by the bow and can accommodate six members of staff.
Powered by a pair of 1400HP MAN V12 engines, you can expect top speeds to hit 15 knots and smooth cruising at 14 knots. At an economy cruise of 11 knots, you will enjoy a range of up to 5,000 nautical miles, making this a true Transatlantic voyager.
