The Benetti Classic 120 is a 120-foot luxury motor yacht that was produced by the iconic Italian yacht-building company Benetti between the years of 2000 and 2008. A streamlined form designed by Stefano Righini in striking white fiberglass tastefully blends the modern with the classic, combining framed glazing, teak brightwork and an elegant form with more contemporary interventions like structural flares and cutaway gunwales. Four decks of supreme living space aboard this vessel boast a sedate appeal, while a composite hull construction has been built for long-haul, bluewater voyaging.
An entirely open-air experience, this yacht’s teak-lined flybridge features everything needed for relaxing hours spent soaking up the rays. There are a set of sunpads to aft, room for a dining table or sofa across the centre, wet-bar facilities with a grill and forward seating with commanding views at the front. Also on offer up here is a sizeable jacuzzi big enough for half a dozen guests to enjoy the bubbles simultaneously. When not in use it can be covered by a cushion to turn it into an elevated daybed.
The upper deck, meanwhile, is split between an aft-sun terrace with sun-loungers, a U-shaped leather sofa and an outdoor dining table, and with a tasteful upper salon with a classically themed, walk-in wet-bar, hardwood surrounds, plush carpeting and a pair of sofas. Towards the front of this level there is an enclosed pilothouse with a sedate appeal, featuring modern helm tech like digital display screens, bow thrusters, GPS, autopilot, hand-held VHF and more.
An exquisite main deck boasts an aft-cockpit with a transom sofa, as well as steps down to a hydraulic bathing platform that will be beloved by the kids. A transom garage door down here opens up to reveal room for a large jet-tender and a jet-ski, sure to be enjoyed by your more active guests. Curved sliding glass doors framed in steel lead into a main deck salon with masses of glazing, high-gloss cherry or mahogany surrounds, wainscoting, curved cabinetry, four cream-toned curved sofas, a bespoke, granite-topped coffee table, finely woven carpets and steel fixtures. Ahead of this there is a walk-in bar with a traditional vibe as well as a formal dining table for up to ten diners. A galley and service area separates the salon from a full-beam owner’s stateroom, where a king-sized bed, a sofa and a private office are joined by a huge en-suite with marbled surfaces, a bathtub, a shower room and a pair of sinks.
Discover four more en-suite staterooms on the lower deck, each boasting ample storage, queen or twin beds, oversized portholes and a plush, secluded atmosphere. Across the front half of the lower deck there is an entirely private crew quarters for up to eight with separate facilities.
Powered by twin 1652HP Caterpillar C32 diesel engines, you can expect top speeds to hit the 16-knot mark, with a smooth cruising speed of approximately 15 knots. Take things a little slower and glide along at the leisurely pace of 11 knots and you will enjoy an oceanic range of 3,300 nautical miles, while a set of VT Naiad stabilizers are on hand to keep this vessel balanced at zero-speeds.
