The Benetti B.Yond Limited Edition is a 130-foot luxury explorer yacht that was announced by the iconic Italian yacht-building firm Benetti in 2023. Based on the popular B.Yond 30M model but with an extra few meters to the hull, updated styling and additional deluxe amenities, this ocean-going vessel looks set to be the most dazzling long-distance expedition yacht ever built. Designed in partnership with the P.L.A.N.A group, this five-deck special edition yacht features a sleek profile in proprietary Vulcan Grey with a double-height, rounded bow-entry, golden brightwork, sheer wrap-around glazing, gigantic outdoor sun-terraces and languid interiors with a laid-back contemporary vibe.
On the sun-deck there is a focused, shaded and teak-lined space with a set of sun-loungers, a dining table for up to ten guests, a walk-in wet-bar station with a grill as well as a centrally-positioned outdoor helm station for immersive and elemental piloting from an elevated vantage point. The bridge deck is a little larger and split between an outdoor sun-terrace to aft and a convenient set of plush interior rooms. Head beyond sliding glass doors to marvel at an upper-lounge with a sprawling sofa, floor-to-ceiling glazing and a cognac bar, while further forward there is a bathroom, a captain’s quarters and an enclosed pilot-house with next-generation navigational tools.
Guests are bound to spend most of their time, however, on the upper-deck. This vast space hosts a secluded foredeck lounge with a modular sunpad for up to six guests and an aperitif lounge with bespoke arm-chairs. To aft there is a sedate and sheltered cockpit with leather sofas, a poker table and a wet-bar, while a couple of steps leads down to a teak-lined aft-cockpit with two U-shaped conversation sofas and a plunge-pool lined in timber and glass. Head down to the stern-side bathing platform to enjoy a beach-club setting with a transom door that opens up to reveal a water-level beach bar. Free-flowing interiors on the upper-deck feature full-height glazing, warm timber surrounds, hand-crafted cabinets, gold accents and a sophisticated atmosphere. To aft there is a versatile salon with bar facilities and plentiful seating options, while further forward there is a formal dining table in glossy hardwood for up to ten guests.
On the main-deck there are five staterooms for up to ten overnight guests, with rooms boasting picture-frame side glazing, queen-sized beds, work-desks, spa-like en-suite bathrooms and your choice of full-height lockers or even walk-in closets. The full-beam owner’s stateroom sits towards the bow and impresses with a walk-in dressing room, a private lounge, a king-sized bed, a work station and a vast bathroom with a tub, a wet-room shower and a pair of sinks. The lower-deck boasts a more functional appeal, and includes crew cabins for up to eight members of staff, a gym facility, a dining room and a huge live-in galley with extra storage. A side-entry garage, meanwhile, offers full-beam capacity for up to four tenders and water-toys.
Pick a Siemens E-Mode Hybrid propulsion package to reduce emissions by up to a quarter when compared to rival yachts in this class, and enjoy a rugged hull precision-engineered for ambitious offshore voyages. A pair of MAN V12 1450HP diesel engines should offer top speeds of around 14 knots, while at an eco-friendly 9 knot cruising speed you will be able to ride this behemoth for up to 8,200 nautical miles before requiring a refuel.
