The Benetti 56 is a 183-foot tri-deck superyacht that was produced by iconic Italian yacht-building company Benetti between 2007 and 2012. Despite the gargantuan dimensions this is a vessel that retains a dignified and stylish presence on the water thanks to super-sharp lines, curved glazing and swooping structural flares. Designed by naval stylist Stefano Natucci, this yacht pairs a modern exterior form to opulent interiors with a classical vibe representing the very best of traditional Italian motifs. A rugged displacement hull crafted from steel, meanwhile, has been designed for epic bluewater adventures to all four corners of the globe.
An extra-long, teak-lined sundeck is open at the rear and front for blissful sunbathing, with a four-pad daybed at the rear along with a conversation lounge, and at the opposite end a jacuzzi spa-pool surrounded by sunpads. Across the middle of this deck there is a sculptural hard-top with side-glazing, perfect for grabbing a bit of shelter while eating at a curved dining sofa in plush upholstery that wraps around a bespoke table, while there is also an outdoor galley up here.
On the upper deck there is more opportunity for al-fresco dining at a sheltered aft-terrace, where a table and a set of sofas await. A wet bar with marbled counters, a grill and an ice-chipper is on hand to keep guests nourished and refreshed. Heading indoors you will find a sedate upper-lounge with a bar, sofas and armchairs, as well as a pantry, captain’s quarters and a private wheelhouse for focused navigation, commanding views and all of the latest technology.
One the main-deck you will find a transom sofa and side-steps down to a hydraulic bathing platform, as well as a fold-down transom door that turns into a water-level beach club with a teak sole and steel guardrails, from where you can enjoy saltwater swims or just a cocktail or two. Also hidden behind this door is a capacious tender garage with room for a pair of jet-skis, a personal watercraft and a jet-tender. At the front of the main deck there is a secluded foredeck lounge with a curved, forward-facing sofa sheltered by high bulwarks, while there is also space for more tender storage with a hydraulic davit.
Interiors aboard this classy yacht were crafted by Francois Zuretti and boast an elegant feel that draws on the finest of Italian design heritage. Glossy cherry and teak surrounds, parquet floors, leather or upholstered paneling, marble in at least half a dozen different colors, granite counters, wainscoting, glass cabinets and bespoke furnishings with a traditional flair pair well with cinema-screen side windows, recessed spot lighting and mirrored bulkheads. There is space for a roomy salon with plenty of sofas as well as a formal dining room, while ahead of this there is a showpiece spiral staircase, a full-service galley and, towards the front, a private owner’s stateroom. This full-beam suite is one of the most impressive ever built, and features a walk-in dressing room, a private office, an enclosed lounge, a king-sized bed, sofas and armchairs and a stunning marble-lined double bathroom with a wet-room shower, two bathtubs and gold-leaf fixtures.
There are four more en-suite staterooms on the lower deck for up to eight more guests, while a crew quarters with its own facilities, and extra space for storage and dining, sits towards the bow.
Powered by a twinset of 1360HP Caterpillar shaft-drives, you can expect a maximum speed of 15 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 14 knots for a range of around 5,000 nautical miles. Additional extras like Naiad bow thrusters and Quantum QC stabilizers are also on hand to provide additional agility and balance.
