Vessel Walkthrough

The 59 Marquis "Totally Excellent" is set up for easy boarding through port or stbd aft boarding doors. On a floating dock you could also use the hydraulic swim platform with direct access to engine room and aft deck.

The aft deck on "Totally Excellent" is spacious and social. (A theme that is carried out in every area of vessel design) You have a molded in seating area centerline aft, with a high gloss teak table. Full walkaround side decks allow for easy line handling and easy transit to the bow. There is a stbd side set of aft deck controls with bow and stern thruster controls. This design lends itself well to owner operators and couples’ cruisers. A door to the stbd side aft allows hydraulic swim platform access and crew/storage and engine room access through a centerline transom door. There is also a day hatch in the aft deck with a ladder for engine room access. A port side molded in stairwell provides an easy way up to the bridge that a ladder would not. A tinted sliding door opens for access to the main salon.  

Main Salon

Upon entering the main salon, you are instantly struck by her volume and beauty. Rich high gloss dark wood provides an elegant luxurious feel throughout the vessel. Windows along this whole deck level provide plenty of natural light for an open feeling. There is an ultra-leather L shaped sofa to stbd and a love seat to port with a high gloss teak coffee table. The opposing seating areas facing each other are great for socialization. Additional main salon features include:

Galley/Dinette

Two small steps up from the main salon brings us to the galley and dinette level. The full galley to stbd has everything a shipboard gourmet would require. This area is completely open to the salon and has both fwd and side windows for natural light. To port there is a 3-panel glass storage cabinet with under counter refrigeration. The dinette is massive, thanks in large part to the elimination of a “never used” optional lower helm station. Additional highlights include:

Lower Accommodations

The lower accommodations onboard "Totally Excellent" are accessible from a port side galley level semi spiral staircase leading below. This carpeted stairwell lands you in a lower foyer with companionway access fwd to the VIP stateroom, stbd guest stateroom, and full beam master stateroom aft. The aft leading companionway also houses an over/under washer dryer to port.

The stbd guest stateroom is just across the companionway at the base of the foyer stairwell.  Her features include:

Guest Head

The Guest head is located port side across from the guest stateroom. It has a door for companionway day head access also has a door accessible from the fwd VIP stateroom.

VIP Stateroom

The VIP stateroom is located all the way fwd. This is the perfect stateroom for another couple traveling with owners on an island hoping adventure. It features an island queen berth, shared head access and great storage. Additional features include:

Master Stateroom

The full beam master stateroom aboard “Totally Excellent” is located at the aft end of the lower companionway and mid ships for the most comfort underway. She has tons of storage that lends itself well to extended voyages and even seasonal liveaboards. Her centerline berth is an island king and worthy of a shipboard master stateroom. Additional master stateroom highlights include:

Flybridge

The aft deck port side stairwell safely leads us up to the expansive Flybridge. This weather protected, climate-controlled environment offers an excellent view for navigation and is great for dockside cocktails or underway relaxation. At the top of the stairs to stbd is a large U-shaped seating area with high gloss teak table. The table has a decorative nautical star inlay.  There is a flat screen TV on the bridge viewable from the seating area. Port side on the bridge is a bar sink, ice maker and storage cabinet. Stbd side is a Gaggenau electric grill and drink refrigerator. On the aft deck of the bridge is an athwartships mounted davit and an aft facing seat.  Air conditioning or reverse cycle heat keep the bridge climate comfortable. If fresh air is the desired environment, simply roll up the isinglass curtains and enjoy the sweet salty air. Forward on the bridge is the helm station. Helm seating features a centerline white ultra-leather captain’s chair with matching companion chair to stbd. To port is a double wide bench seat. Helm Electronics include:

·        2 large Garmin multifunction touchscreen displays with chart plotter, radar and depth sounding features. (Updated 2020)

·        Garmin VHF radio, Auto pilot and gauge for speed and depth (2020)

Engine room and crew/storage space

There are two ways to access the engine room. One is directly through the day hatch in the sole of the aft deck. The second is through the centerline transom door and going fwd through the crew/ storage room. The crew/ storage area does feature a crew bunk, marine head, sink, storage and AC. It is great to have if you take trips with a captain. It is most commonly and currently used more as a storage area. On the forward bulkhead of this room is a watertight door to the engine room. The engine room offers great space and accessibility for maintenance and repairs. Engine room highlights include:

·        Twin series 60 MTU power 825 hp each with low hours, (1200 4/22) heat exchanger and charge air cooler maintenance done

·        22 KW Kohler Generator approx. 2000 hrs w 2000-hour service completed
