Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
One of Azimut’s most popular models (350 were reportedly built), the futuristic lines of the Azimut 46—with her elliptical, electrically operated windows and swept-back arch—made a serious impression in the American market when the 46 was introduced in 1997. Like all Azimut yachts, the finish and attention to detail are impressive. Entering through a sliding glass door, a cherry entertainment cabinet is to port in the salon and a circular settee set around a cherry dining table is opposite.
The lower helm is immediately forward of the settee, two steps up from the salon. Across from the lower helm and down a few steps is the galley. Headroom is excellent, and large windows bathe the salon in natural lighting. Two-stateroom interior with queen berths in both staterooms.
Floorplan feature two full heads, and in both the master stateroom includes a walk-in closet and opening windows. The engine room is accessed from the cockpit lazarette, and a staircase leads to the flybridge. Cat 3208 - 435hp diesels cruise in the low 20s (26–28 knots top).
