And her construction is very solid. This boat is like blending the best of Florida and Carolina boats into one sleek package. The central salon area has a lounge that is also a dinette and a bunk when the table is lowered. The space is open and has great potential for modernization with some new materials. There are storage spaces in the lounge and starboard cabinetry.
The galley has ample countertop space for making meals and storing goods for day trips or weeks away. All the appliances are in good working order, the microwave and cooktop are newer but you may desire to update the refrigerator. There is storage below and above that can be customized for specific utensils and cookware.

The 3196B is an inline, six-cylinder, four-stroke engine. The total piston displacement is 12 liters, (732 CI). The total bore and stroke is 5.1 by 5.9 inches, or 130 mm by 150 mm. Maximum horsepower output is 660 at 2,300 rpm Max torque output is 2,165 foot pounds at 1,600 rpm.
This is a boat I’m particularly proud of. In 1998 when the drawings began Applied Concepts was pioneering the 3D design process against the tide of traditionalism. This boat was the first generation of 3D modeled, CNC’d jigs for her construction. The young and progressive builder, Victor Hudson, was set on making a name for himself with a boat that was ahead of its time and as tough as nails.
Frankly put, most boats designed today don’t have a hull bottom any better than this special express.
