About Riviera Yachts

Riviera Yachts is perhaps Australia’s premier yacht builder and operates out of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest yacht factory in Coomera on Australia’s stunning Gold Coast. Founded in 1980, the firm currently produces a versatile range of models from 36 to 85 feet that are exported all over the world. Whether you require a tournament-ready sportfishing yacht, an express cruiser, or a luxury, long-range motor yacht, Riviera is sure to have the right boat for you.

More About Riviera Yachts

Though now Australia’s largest and most awarded yacht building firm, Riviera Yachts started out in 1980 with a tight-knit team of five building 38-footers in the Australian city of Sydney. A year later, spotting potential for growth amid the yachting community of the Gold Coast, the company moved north to Coomera where they are still based today. Across the 1980s Riviera produced more than a dozen models, but it was in the 1990s that the company came of age when they won Modern Boating’s Boat of the Year prize three times in a row.

In 2012 the firm was acquired by Rodney Longhurst, a passionate and experienced yachter and entrepreneur who has led Riviera to even greater success. The company now operates out of a 16.8-hectare boatyard and factory in Coomera, Australia, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere, and employs over 600 of the best and most experienced engineers, artisans and designers in the industry. To date, Riviera has sold close to 6,000 vessels across their 40-year history, and with the recent launch of Riviera TV, a livestreaming yachting channel, look set to launch even more boats in the future.

Though Riviera now sells the majority of their boats to customers outside of Australia, their boats still bear a distinctive antipodean quality. All new yachts are tested on the rugged and choppy waters off the Australian coast and are therefore built for unparalleled strength and durability. Even their smaller models are constructed with blue-water conditions in mind, with solid, hand-laid fibreglass bottoms, isophthalic gelcoat finishes, watertight crash bulkheads and keels, and deck structures that are tabbed to hulls for increased integrity. Boats are typically designed in a classic-contemporary style, utilising only the very best authentic materials such as stainless-steel fixtures, New Zealand leather furnishings, and superior-grade cherry, teak, walnut and wenge wood on interior surrounds. Riviera’s unrivalled success also comes down to crafting the ultimate on-board experience for owners, with amenities such as Garmin and Raymarine navigation equipment, Yamaha and JL Audio entertainment systems, Miele kitchen appliances and Webasto sunroofs fitted to their models. All Riviera vessels can be extensively customized thanks to the firm’s R Aftermarket team, which, along with all maintenance and service requirements, can also refit your yacht down to the last detail.

RIVIERA MODELS

Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum

Riviera’s newest model for 2021, the 6000 Sport Yacht Platinum is a 63-foot shimmering work of art in metallic silver tones. Sculptured out of composite fibreglass with Riviera’s proprietary blue-water hull, this yacht will power ahead of the pack due to its dual Volvo IPS 950 turbo-diesel engines delivering a top speed of 35 knots. A Volvo Penta navigation system with joystick steering allows for confident manoeuvring with pin-point accuracy as you negotiate open seas and tight marinas alike. A semi-sheltered main deck with retractable sunroof provides plenty of room to relax and entertain, with L-shaped sofas to port, teak tables and a double-plated transom barbecue grill leading down to a lower swimming platform. The galley and saloon space is large enough for a full kitchen and U-shaped dining lounge stocked with everything from a cocktail cabinet to induction oven and freezer. Below deck a sumptuous presidential stateroom provides a spacious place to get a good night’s rest, while the option for three further guest suites ensures that you can bring the whole family with you on your adventures.

Riviera Belize 66 Sedan

A classically styled 70-foot yacht that harkens back to the golden age of Mediterranean cruising, this opulent and refined model was painstakingly crafted in collaboration with 4D Designs and built with the help of Taiwan’s heavy-duty Kha Shing shipyard. The result is a masterpiece of elegant design and a yacht that will withstand the worst the Southern Ocean can throw at it. Discerning owners will delight at the refined detailing on this yacht, including teak lining and rails to the exterior, stainless steel cleats, water-tight port-hole windows, rear glass bulkhead, inset LED lighting, cedar-lined cabinets and extensive leather seating. A large aft-deck with swimming platform and walk-around side-decks and bow provide plenty of al-fresco space to enjoy sunny days on the water, while interior spaces are as spacious as they are sedate. Performance-wise this yacht will not be left behind by any comparable model, with twin Volvo D13 Penta engines delivering up to 2000 horsepower.

Riviera 39 Open Flybridge

Compact, nimble and graceful as it glides over the water, this walkaround sports yacht is tailor-made for adventurers. Owner-operators will enjoy piloting this sleek vessel from the elevated, open flybridge while below on the forward-deck sunworshippers can soak up the rays on a modular sofa. Fishers, meanwhile, will certainly make use of optional bait prep and equipment storage on the aft deck, while swimmers and scuba divers can easily set off on aquatic jaunts from the lower rear swimming platform. Thrill seekers will be pleased with a top speed of 35 knots, and Volvo Penta joystick controls make this a smooth and agile ride. Rest and relaxation are not overlooked either, with a roomy salon and galley leading to a pair of tastefully appointed below-deck staterooms with a total occupancy of 5.

Riviera 645 SUV

New for 2021, the 645 SUV is a single-level sports yacht that was introduced after existing Riviera SUV owners wanted the same level of high performance with more space. The result is an almost 70-foot-long yacht with a spacious galley and saloon, an extra-long forward deck living space with a U-shaped sofa and up to 4 lower staterooms. A large aft-deck with swimming platform is the ideal place from which to enjoy deep-line fishing, with a fitted bait tank to transom, rod storage units and water pump all on hand. High levels of sporting performance are maintained on this model despite the increased size, with full-throttle speeds of up to 34 knots reached thanks to dual MAN 1300hp engines.
