Founded by avid Tennessee fisherman Joe Reese in 1972, HCB Yachts got its start building affordable, high-performance bass boats for fisherman. Reese, originally a mason by trade, quickly grew a reputation for designing pioneering boats that met and surpassed the requirements of a fishing boat. Though no longer in production, HCB’s bass boats are still coveted for their size, reliability, and seaworthiness. Reese sold the company in 1976, but stayed on as a consultant, ensuring that the company stayed true to his original mission of innovation, durability, and style. In 1990, HCB expanded, entering the saltwater market with a range of center console fishing boats. The vessels quickly began to outpace sportfish inboards in offshore fishing tournaments, distinguishing themselves with their fishability, speed, and exceptional performance.

Today, HCB Yachts continues to develop and refine Reese’s vision in new and exciting ways: having spotted a gap in the market between sportfishing and center console segments, CEO Elias De La Torre III announced in 2018 that HCB would release an entirely new and unprecedented range of yachts: the center console sportfishing yacht. These world-class models set a new standard for the marine industry, combining the comfort, superior performance, and ease-of-use of center console yachts with the size, customizability, and sophistication of sportfishing yachts.

HCB 65’ Estrella

Launched in 2019, the 65’ Estrella is big, bold, and powerful – the largest center console yacht on the market, as long as two telephone poles lined up side by side. But don’t let it’s imposing size – sure to impress in dock – intimidate you: the Estrella rides smoother than silk with 5 Seven Marine outboard engines perched on the transom, giving the Estrella 3,135 horsepower, unprecedented for a center console yacht. At 46,000 pounds, this vessel makes short work of the waves. The ZF joystick is responsive, enabling the yacht to effortlessly maneuver tight turns.

The fishing and living spaces are no less impressive. Designed for the consummate fisherman, there are numerous rodholders located on the shotgun, gunwale and hardtop – perfect for grabbing a rod at a moment’s notice. A pair of 80-gallon livewells are mounted on the transom. The decking is of the finest teak, so polished that light gleams and glints off the surface like a wooden mirror. The newly debuted 42-foot Lujo outshines every other yacht of its size: not only does it have the largest cabin in the 42-foot category, it is also the only quad-powered yacht in its class. A newly designed hull provides a slick but soft ride capable of longer ranges with an optional extra fuel capacity. Perfect for angling, diving, and cruising, the Lujo has three main helm seats and integrated risers, a hardtop with rodholders, dual livewell capacity of 90 gallons, and a luxurious wetbar behind the helm and a bow table.
