History of Ferretti Yachts

In 1968 is when Ferretti Yachts set sail. Brothers, Alessandro and Norberto Ferretti, created the first nautical division of the family business other than a luxury car. Three years later in 1971, their first model, a wooden motor sailer was greeted with such praise at the Genoa Boat Show. This yacht was 10-metres, equipped with an engine as well as a sail and was peculiarly comfortable and very safe for leisure cruising. As four years goes by, in 1975, the Ferretti Brothers decided to abandon cars altogether and commit to themselves fully in the nautical world of yachting.
