History of Contender Boats
With over 30 years, fisherman have been fishing on Contender Boats. Thousands upon thousands of Contender Boats have been floating along the coast around the country, catching thousands of fish with the best testament to “Performance through Innovation”. Contender Boats builds 22’ – 39’ boats for fisherman and families that enjoy being out on the open sea. All models that are 25’ and up are built in three pieces; the hull, liner and cap. All pieces are made from fiberglass and fit together like a glove creating nothing other than a fishing machine. The president, Joe Neber, as well as the owner of Contender Boats, founded his company in 1984. Joe started out as an avid saltwater sportsman with an extreme passion for fishing and boating which is evident in his work in resource conservation. The Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida named Joe Neber and Contender Boats the 2016 Conservation Partner of the Year. Contenders have an array of options such as Yamaha Engines, custom leaning posts, offshore towers, and so on. All these options that are available for Contender Boats makes each and every one a fishing machine. All Contenders are lined with fishing rod holders, outriggers, live wells, transducers, GPS, with a variety of more custom options.

Contender 25 T

Contender 25 Bay
The Contender 25 Bay is the perfect vessel for those who have a love for offshore fishing or just cruising around inshore. Like all other Contender boats, the 25 Bay is completely customizable. The standard features that are aboard the 25 Bay is a 40 gallon live well, 12 gallon baitwell, two rod lockers, anchor locker with molded-in anchor storage, flush mount panels and so much more. With the use of a jack plate, the Contender 25 Bay is able to get on plane very quickly in very little water. From skinny waters to deep blue waters, this boat gets the job done.
Contender 28 Sport
With U-shaped forward seating and an extra-large walk in console with side entry and interior glass liner, this boat has nothing but comfort! The Contender 28 Sport also has dome lighting, lockable storage, oversized electronic panel, recessed bow lighting and handrails and so many more accommodations that will leave you speechless. The 28S is a fishing machine that is also built for family fun out on the water.
