History of Buddy Davis Boats
Buddy Davis built over 350 boats with new designs and building construction innovation including creating boats with large bow flare long before other boat makers began experimenting with the idea for cutting waves and keeping the splash off for a dry and comfortable ride. Everyone has always had good things to say about Buddy as a person and how hard he worked and loved being around boats from an early age working as a mate in Oregon inlet. The superb construction of these fishing boats will be loved for many years. Buddy Davis’ creative and successful ideas have forever changed the boating industry since coming into business in 1973 with up to 30 custom builds per year. All Buddy Davis boats deliver top notch ride quality. Each hull has a custom design deep v that slices through waves for maximum comfort. These boats are also highly equipped for fishing. The best materials and team have been paired with great technology and craftsmanship of high standards to produce delightful boats that will withstand heavy seas for a long time on the water. Sadly, Buddy Davis passed away in 2011, but with the 42 years of ideas and innovations the company continues his vision for further progress to his well-known Carolina flare that will continue to advance in the boat building industry.
Buddy Davis 34 CC
The Buddy Davis 34 delivers the Carolina flare in a center console model. With its deep v hull and many features, this boat is meant to be offshore fishing or elegantly cruising. This model has forward lounging, a head in console, and a lot of storage including tackle station.
The 48 express is a beautifully set up boat with its flare and layout. This is one of the driest boats on the market. This model is equipped with a galley, salon, stateroom, and head for guest comfort. This boat is just as enjoyable to ride as to look at with double couches around the helm station. This boat is capable of performing at 30 knots in large seas.
The 58 Sportfish is different than the competition. The bow flare is breath taking from an exterior view and provides the smoothest ride when on board. The layout is opening and welcoming and everything on the boat seems to flow together nicely. This model can push far offshore with a 1500-gallon fuel capacity and the ability to stay safe and dry anywhere. This boat is loaded with comfort features from the flybridge to the staterooms with every small detail taken care of.
