The best luxury center-console on the market just got a little bigger. Dubbed "The Next Chapter", Viking Yacht Company has announced the addition of the V-46 to the Valhalla Boatworks model line. The V-46 will now be the flagship model for Valhalla as it surpasses the incredible V-41. As you would expect, Viking has equipped the V-46 with the absolute best equipment, a thoughtful layout for serious fishing, and Viking's signature level of performance. Since making its debut, numerous hulls have been sold and set a new standard in the 40 to 50 foot center-console category.
"Valhalla center-consoles have an extraordinary combination of speed, agility, and fast planing," said Rich Lucas, SI Yachts brand manager for Viking Yachts and Valhalla. "The V-46 takes all of that to the next level not just with power, but greater capabilities of range and versatility when fishing. Valhalla has been extremely successful selling Valhalla since they first came out delivering over 70 vessels with another 75 on order. If you are interested in the V-46, you'd better book your build slot early!"
The power options on the new V-46 include your choice of either Mercury or Yamaha ouboards in quad configuration. It will be powered with either quad Mercury V8 450Rs, Mercury Verado 400s or Yamaha V8 425s.

Performance Features
Like all of Valhalla's models, the V-46 is built using the patented Michael Peters Yacht Design double-stepped hull that has proven time and again to be a superior option. The double-stepped hull offers a fast, easily maneuverable ride that planes quickly and is more fuel efficient than comparable boats. Even with the large 13' 4" beam, the V-46 will deliver a smooth ride, while also giving you a considerable amount of space for a console. In addition to the serious horsepower options, each engine package also includes the fly-by-wire electric power steering. Both joystick control and GPS station-keeping systems are available.
V-46 Seakeeper
The Valhalla V-46 will have the option for a Seakeeper SK 6. In fact, the V-46 was designed specifically with a mounting structure molded into the resin-infused structural stringer grid to comfortably house the Seakeeper gyro. Access to the Seakeeper is available through a heavy-duty, air-tight hatch just forward of the lazarette.
Fishing Features
If nothing else, the Valhalla V-46 was built to fish. The legendary Viking Sportfish commitment to quality and "fish-ability" has not been lost on the Valhalla series. Here are some of the notable fishing features on the V-46:
Accommodations
On the massive console of the V-46, a portside door leads to a set of teak stairs. Descend the staircase to a generously sized cabin with an incredible amount of headroom (6-feet, 7-inches). Four large portholes allow for natural light and fresh air ventilation through the convertible salon/stateroom. A dinette with u-shaped seating converts to a queen-sized berth, making overnight trips a lot more comfortable.
Across from the convertible dinette is the galley which includes everything you need on board to feed a hungry crew or guests. The V-46 galley features a Corian countertop, stainless steel sink, two-burner recessed stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, and plenty of storage space.
