Scout 530 LXF
The Scout 530 LXF is a superlative 53.5-foot center console first launched by acclaimed yacht builder Scout Boats in 2019. Still in production today, the 530 LXF is the Scout’s flagship vessel and one of the largest in the brand’s luxury S-Class series. A blend of the highest levels of luxury with the latest technology, the 530 LXF is sure to elicit a double-take from even the most jaded connoisseur.
To meet the unique design challenges posed by larger boats, Scout used highly innovative epoxy infusion and carbon epoxy construction techniques that are typically employed by the space industry. The result is an unbeatable strength-to-weight ratio that allows the large 530 LXF to cut through the water with freedom and grace.
Thanks to a range of amenities like articulating rocket launchers that can be stowed beneath an optional Sureshade and a hydraulic beach platform that doubles as a 105 square-foot fishing area, the 530 LXF is sure to appeal to serious anglers who desire all the comforts of a luxury yacht. In addition to two 30-gallon cockpit baitwells, flush-mounted gunwale rod holders and seven vertical rod-holders along the transom, the aft deck features a luxe fold-down bench opposite a cockpit island equipped with a cooler, sink, drawer refrigerator, cutting board, and electric grill, as well as comfortable, integrated swiveling barstools.
Out on the bow, there is plenty of space to relax, with a three-person sunbed with built-in storage and drinks holders. Further forward is U-shaped seating with two tables a perfect spot to enjoy charcuterie, a glass of wine, and the tune of your choice thanks to the JL Audio system installed throughout the top deck.
Beneath the hard top is a generous lounge with a long settee (that folds up to stow fishing rods) facing two plush seats to port and starboard. The well-organized digital helm is equipped with Garmin screens and electronics and handsome heated helm seats that folds up or down, a particularly useful feature at the captain’s chair, which operators can adjust according to their piloting style. To port a two-person companion seat can be found, with access to a glovebox and a Garmin MFD.
Just past the helm is a step-down lounge with surprisingly generous. When not in use for dining and conversation, built-in wraparound salon seating converts to a twin berth to accommodate extra guests. Opposite is a small, low-impact galley with a two-zone cooktop, microwave oven, and a two-drawer fridge-freezer built into the countertop. A nearby door leads to a comfortable aft cabin with a generous 6’9” of head room. Just beyond the portside head and starboard shower room (each with their own private entrance) lies a superb primary stateroom with rod storage beneath the queen berth. A skylight and window with electric shades allow in natural light when desired, adding to the sense of space throughout.
Scout offers a choice of four or five powerful Yamaha or Mercury engine options for the 530, each of which offer exceptional power and performance. With a hearty 875-gallon fuel capacity, the 530 is most efficient at about 41-43MPH, but can reach over 68MPH with five Mercury 450 Verados behind it.
