The Scout 330 LXF is a 32-foot luxury center-console motoryacht that was launched by the innovative South Carolina-based yacht-building firm Scout Boats in 2021. Though one of the more compact vessels in the current Scout fleet, the 330 LXF makes a big impression on those looking for dual-purpose at-sea adventures involving competitive fishing and laid-back relaxation. A svelte form with a custom paint-job, sinuous sloping lines to transom, a flared bow entry and a high-class finish throughout give this watercraft plenty of panache, while a raft of entertaining amenities and fishing equipment deliver both comfort and purpose.
There’s plenty of space on offer out on the foredeck, where a double-width day-bed with armrests is joined by wrap-around U-shaped seating nestled up by the bow, both in stylish diamond-stitched upholstery. A pop-up table out here can be used for refreshments, or covered with a cushion to turn the foredeck into a sprawling casbah lounge. Under seat storage is on hand to keep fishing gear secure and within easy reach, while integrated cup-holders are peppered throughout for convenience.
There’s padded coamings in tan leather-effect upholstery surrounding the spacious cockpit, where both fish-fighting and conviviality are on the agenda. More active guests will enjoy elevated rocket launchers, flush rod-holders, rod racks in the gunwale, a non-slip sole, wash-down hoses, tackle drawers, a bait-prep counter, a Yeti ice-box, two in-deck fish boxes, optional Taco outrigger bases and a 21-gallon transom livewell out here. Those more interested in relaxing, meanwhile, will perhaps make use of the wet-bar with a sink and a Kenyon grill, or head to a fold-out transom sofa to soak up the rays. A side lift-gate can be used to haul aboard your catch while a transom door leads out to a swim platform positioned clear of the stern-side outboards.
A powder-coated T-top and three sides of protective glazing shield those at the helm from the worst the maritime weather can throw at them. Comfortable bench-seating up here faces a modern helm station with up to three Garmin MFD touch-screens, Optimus power-steering, joystick handling, a Zipwake interceptor system, a mounted compass, hand-held VHF radio, FLIR camera feedback, lighting controls, an optional Seakeeper DC stabilizer switch and a Fusion stereo system linked via Bluetooth to the yacht’s integrated speaker system.
Recharge your batteries down on a compact lower-deck space boasting U-shaped seating that can be transformed into a double bed within minutes, or make use of the extra storage and flush toilet hidden down on this level.
Powered by a pair of 425HP Yamaha XTO or Mercury Verado outboard motors, you can expect top speeds to max out at almost 58 knots. At a silky-smooth cruising speed of 28 knots, you will enjoy a range of up to 310 nautical miles thanks to a 265-gallon fuel tank and an efficient proprietary V-hull built using advanced epoxy infusion methods.
