Scout 530 LXF
The Scout 240 XSF is a superb 24-foot center console boat first launched by legendary builder Scout Boats in 2021. A compact and sturdy craft, the 240 XSF boasts the amenities and superior finish of a much larger boat. Ideal for fishing excursions and day cruising, the refinement and comfort of this boat will appeal to anglers and non-anglers alike, inviting users to swim, fish, and lounge in the space of a single afternoon.
Although modest in size, the 240 features a simulated teak swim platform, which is flush with the transom and fully walkable. After an invigorating swim, climb up the fold-away three-step swim ladder, step through the starboard walk-thru door, and find a surprisingly roomy, intentionally-designed cockpit devoted to fishing. An aerated 15-gallon baitwell sits to port of the fold-down stern seat facing the powder coated leaning post, which features an Igloo cooler, 4 rod holders, 3 cupholders, and room for upgrades like a tackle station and a slide-out YETI cooler.
The helm is safely ensconced by a glass enclosure that nearly reaches the apex of the powder coated T-Top, which can be outfitted with optional rocket launchers and outriggers. At the helm are optional fold-down bolster chairs for a more versatile piloting experience. From here, users can enjoy standard features such as a Fusion stereo system, a Garmin 934XS display, GT12M transducer, digital engine display gauge, a SeaStar hydraulic steering wheel plus tilt, trim tabs for the latest Seakeeper Ride system, two cupholders, a large glove compartment, and USB charging ports. Optional upgrades include an Edson steering wheel, a SeaStar power assist unit, a Helm Master EX single engine application with power steering, autopilot and joystick, a Garmin 8610 or 1243XSV, a JL audio system, and an XM stereo and weather program. To port, a self-contained porcelain head can be installed in the console.
The social heart of this boat can be found at the bow: here, you’ll find a molded seating area with Scout’s characteristic forward seating backrests perfect for kicking back and relaxing. Across from the bow seating, large forward-facing console lounge seat offers even more space to spread out. Beneath the soft cushions and serene upholstery are three large fishboxes: one under the port and starboard bow seats, and a third beneath the console lounge, complete with overboard pump-out.
Powered by a single standard Yamaha 250 outboard, the 240 XSF can reach an impressive top speed of 50MPH, although a smooth 28.8MPH cruising speed will only spend 8 gallons-per-hour of your 100-gallon fuel capacity. Other engine options include a Yamaha 300 or a Mercury 300.
