The all-new Princess S80 is described as being "inspired by urban living", a phrase that brings to mind stylish lofts over-looking a bright city skyline, posh surroundings, chic decor, and a downtown vibe that attracts urbanites. Its predecessor, the Princess S78, arrived in 2018 and dazzled with its beautiful exterior and nearly 40 knot performance at sea. Rest assured, the new S80 will only improve on the speed, performance, and handling through the advanced technology of twin MAN V12 2,000 mhp engines.
The Princess Sportbridge range has become increasingly popular thanks to its combination of express cruiser speed and handling, but also combining the attributes of a flybridge yacht with a low bridge clearance. If you love having the majority of the socializing on your yacht being on one main deck, but occasionally want to operate the vessel from a higher vantage point, the sportbridge series is a wonderful solution. The sportbridge on the S80 features that forward helm station with complete navigational electronics, twin upholstered seats, teak deck, dining table, and u-shaped seating aft. Additionally, there is an outdoor kitchen portside with a sink, BBQ grill, and refrigeration drawer. Other details like LED lighting, drink holders, USB charging stations, and convenient storage spaces complete the compacted flybridge deck.
Additionally, there is a foredeck lounge area that has been implemented into the design as no space will go to waste. Wide side decks allow for easy access to the bow where guests will find two facing u-shaped couches and tables in between.
The aft cockpit of the Princess S80 is remarkably well-designed to maximize your time spent on board, whether it be sunbathing, socializing, cruising, or entertaining. Extra-large sunpads are farthest aft, giving sun lovers unobstructed access to its rays with drink-holders and exterior speakers placed conveniently around you. The sunpads are separated by steps leading through a gate to the hydraulic swim platform.
Forward of the sun loungers is another shaded seating area that features two loveseats, port and starboard, along with a table for 6 guests (can be extended for 8 guests), for the perfect al fresco dining experience. The path from the swim platform steps to the forward, interior helm is a straight line making maneuvering around the yacht effortless. Other notable cockpit features include hot/cold transom shower, a retractable bathing ladder, a starboard side wetbar, and a remote control telescopic passerelle.
The galley on board allows for multi-night on-water vacations, as well as serving multiple guests when entertaining. As with all Princess galleys, everything is top notch. The countertops are granite/quartz, the refrigeration units are Sub-Zero, the dishwasher is Miele slimline, and the combination convection oven/microwave/grill is also from Miele.
Moving forward on the main deck, the salon offers a "breathtaking perspective" that eloquently combines soft color palettes, with the natural light glistening off the ocean, while maintaining its sense of luxury through open space. Owners will have a choice of finishes for the interior salon including Alba Oak, Rovere Oak, Silver Oak, and Walnut Satin. There is a large sofa starboard (which has hidden storage underneath), along with a coffee table, 55" LED TV, Naim Uniti Atom audio system, dimmable LED lights, and modern decor to enhance the atmosphere.
For overnight trips, the Princess S80 has accommodations for 8 guests in 4 staterooms, each with en suite heads. There is a crew cabin near the engine room which has multiple layout options, if the captain wants their own small galley for example. The master suite is found midship and stretches the beam of the vessel. Features include a walk-in closet, large double berth, starboard side sofa, 55" LED TV, and plenty of storage opportunities. The VIP Suite is placed forward on the S80 and features a large double berth, as well. The starboard and portside guest cabins are each spacious and well-appointed, with the starboard side cabin having a double berth.
