With three dedicated sunbathing areas, one on the bow lounge area and two on the flybridge, your guests will have many choices for fun in the sun. The 62 Fly is the culmination of a very focused strategy by Absolute with the boat’s space, functionality, layout all intelligently designed to maximize your time spent aboard. At its state-of-the-art shipyard in Piacenza, Italy, Absolute creates hand laid solid-fiberglass hulls and adds in the proprietary Integrated Structural System (ISS), a construct of parts made of composite sandwich material including interior bulkheads, that is bonded to the inside of the hull to provide additional stiffness and strength, as well as reducing sound.
Running the Absolute 62 Fly is an experience, its responsiveness to engine controls is superior as it lunges ahead without hesitation when the levers are pressed forward. The racecar-like wheel allows the Captain to make the most of the IPS 950 engines which move her through the water with a quiet purpose.
The aft-deck can accommodate a tender, a pair of chaise lounges, a Jacuzzi, and a full barbecue. It’s a terrace of sorts and what the owners will do with it is, of course, up to them. Walkways on both sides of the vessel lead forward from the cockpit to the Portuguese bow, where a sun pad boasts three recliners, ahead of a forward facing lounge. Up on the flybridge is yet another outdoor entertaining space and a helm station under an optional opening hardtop.
There’s room to relax and frolic, with an open deck to the rear for storage or dancing in the moonlight. A lounge wraps around a large teak table, and drinks and lunch are taken care of with a Domestic barbecue, fridge/ freezer, ice maker and sink. Yet another sun lounge sits alongside the helm, while a freshwater shower is there to cool you down.
Vision is from the helm is excellent, and a door opens to the starboard walkway for easy docking, which – when combined with a bow thruster and IPS drive – makes maneuvering the 62 Flybridge a breeze. The lower helm has a carbon wrapped dash and a pair of black leather chairs. Twin 16" Garmin screens sit center in the dash for GPS, sounder and radar and there’s an engine room camera to keep an eye on things down there. Equipment at the upstairs helm is similar, but with a single Garmin screen.
The Volvo drives have the optional cruise control and anchor lock, and it comes with digital throttles and shift as well as joystick control. For more information on the new Absolute Yachts 62’ Flybridge, please contact your SI Yachts Sales Professional today.
