October 30th, 2024 - November 3rd, 2024
You are invited to join us for the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show at Bahia Mar, known worldwide as the Yachting Capital of the World, from Wednesday, October 30th, to Sunday, November 3rd. As the largest boat show in the world, more than 100,000 boating enthusiasts will arrive at 7 distinctive locations including the Broward County Convention Center, Bahia Mar Yachting Center, Hall Of Fame Marina, Las Olas Marina, 17th Street Yacht Basin, Pier 66 Marina, and Superyacht Village at Pier 66 South.
The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show has a nearly $2 billion economic impact for Florida thanks to the purchases at the show, hotels, vendors, and more. With the boat show spanning more than 90 acres in total, it's important to understand all of the transportation opportunities offered by the show including taking a shuttle, golf cart, or water taxi. There are also a variety of seminars that include topics like boat handling, fishing, cruising, navigation, as well as superyacht-focused events.
SI Yachts will have our entire team at the Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show at all of our manufacturer displays. Since 1964, SI Yachts has prided ourselves on offering the very best brands built today. Come see our team at our manufacturer displays that include Viking, Princess, Absolute, Prestige, Pardo, Valhalla, and Scout Boats. Many of these builders will be debuting brand new models.
Whether you coming to the boat show to purchase a new yacht, brokerage vessel, or just do your research, our team would be more than happy to meet with you and discuss your plans. We can not only offer an opinion based on decades of combined experience, but we can also discuss the market value of your current boat, take your boat in on trade, or assist you with getting it listed on the brokerage market. Use the form on the page or email us at sales@siyachts.com to schedule a private showing or an appointment at one of our displays.
SI Yachts, one of the largest and most successful boat dealers and yacht brokerage firms in the Northeast, has been acquired by Germain Motor Company. Originally called Staten Island Yacht Sales before expanding into other markets, SI Yachts was founded in 1964 by Frank Bongiorno. Frank, who established the company as the longest operating Viking Yachts dealer in the world, as well as revitalized Staten Island Marina, will retire after more than 60 years in the marine industry.
Germain Motor Company was founded in 1947 by Warren Germain, a personal accountant for Henry Ford, and owns dealerships in Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Arizona, and Montana. Germain is a fourth generation family business and represents luxury brands such as Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW, Mercedes, and Lexus. Germain Motor Company acquiring SI Yachts comes just 2 years after Zach Germain, CEO & Partner of Germain Motor Company, established Germain Yachts and was awarded the Pardo Yachts territory on the west coast of Florida. Germain Yachts quickly grew sales volume and acquired an incredible shipyard, previously known as Mollys Marine, in downtown Naples Florida"
"We couldn't imagine a more perfect opportunity and partnership to carry on the legacy Frank Bongiorno first started in 1964," said Jay Hendrix, VP of SI Yachts. "The resources, technology, and team that Germain has is a complement to what we are building at SI Yachts. The future looks incredibly bright and we can't wait to expand our footprint in sales, service, and after-sale customer care with the help of Germain."

The Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show has tremendous economic impacts for the state of Florida and Broward County. Additionally, over $85 million in state and local taxes are generated directly from the boat show.
October in South Florida is still with the average temperature being 86 degrees. If you add in the miles of walking the docks, combined with an average humidity of 75%, it's important to wear loose-fitting, light-colored clothes to the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. Particularly if you attend the in-water show outside of the Convention Center, comfortable shoes are going to be a must. Remember that boat dealers and yacht brokers ask that you take your shoes off and leave them on the dock should you want to board one of the boats on display. Sunglasses are also a must-have accessory for the boat show as the white gelcoat on all of the different yachts can reflect sunlight. For ladies wondering about your purses, there is.
While we are sure your kids will be mesmerized at all of the fun boats and gear, there are plenty of kids-related activities at the nearby Broward County Convention Center. Inside the lobby is the Kids Corner, an area set aside just for children that includes face painting, arts and crafts, and more. Be sure to check the schedule for the kid's fishing clinics as well.
Whether in the convention center or one of the other 6 locations, there is always a food vendor a short distance away. Burgers, street tacos, Greek food, seafood, and many cocktail vendors all make up the culinary experience at the boat show. There are more than 100 food stands and satellite bars throughout the show.
